About Strawberry Ranch
Strawberry Ranch Mountain Resort is a family-centered recreational community being developed in Utah's Wasatch Mountains on Strawberry Reservoir in Wasatch County. The historic ranch covers more than 7,000 acres of private land surrounded by over three million acres of National Forest.
For the first time in its 100-year history, private lots and cabins are being made available, beginning with the lakeside introductory phases.
Matt Malouf is a partner and investor in Strawberry Ranch.
Close Enough, Far Enough
Strawberry Ranch is less than an hour from Park City and about 1.5 hours from Salt Lake City International Airport, a getaway that is not too far, but just far enough. Visitors come for world-class fishing, outdoor recreation, stunning scenery, pristine air and water, cool summers and winter fun.
Planned Resort Amenities
Current plans, subject to county and design approvals, include:
- A Welcome Center Lodge with a restaurant and catering
- An Activity Barn for reunions, receptions, retreats, seminars and concerts
- A clubhouse and swimming pool
- Miles of groomed trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ATVs and snowmobiling
- Cross-country, backcountry and snowcat skiing
- An Outdoor Academy for learners of all ages
- Zip lines, fishing tours, wagon rides, cattle ranching and outdoor entertainment
- Access to Aspen Grove Marina, about 200 yards from the planned lodge
Own, Stay and Rent
Because Strawberry Ranch is in a special resort overlay zone, owners will be able to rent their cabins nightly through the resort if they wish. Glamping is also available now for guests who want an early taste of the ranch.
Responsible, Self-Reliant Design
The master plan keeps over 96% of the land as open space and is designed as a model for nature-nurturing development, with:
- An off-grid power system with tracking solar and battery storage, backed by redundant generation
- A water well with a pristine quality rating
- A fully underground sewer treatment system, with no septic
- A centralized gas system, with no propane tanks
- A high-speed fiber network
